Sams Town RV Park/ Valve Stem Kit

(Las Vegas, NV)  Hi  94 Lo 81

Visited Las Vegas on July 12
This is the rv park at Sam's Town    It was large and right next door to the hotel and casino.
I went inside to get something to eat and cool down.
This was inside and hotel room windows surrounded this green area.

There was a good size food court and I had a good meal.

Some of these animals moved and made sounds.

My parking spot at the Santa Maria Elks Lodge.
Evidence that I was back in California.
I finally couldn't stand the FM radio anymore.  Some times I could only get 4 stations and they
were less than acceptable.  Broke down and got Sirius XM radio.  I am happy with it but need to
attach the antenna to the roof and bring the line down inside.
I went through Ridgecrest CA and stopped over to get a valve stem kit installed so it will be easier to air up the tires.

  1. Great pictures of Sam's Town. We had fun there several years ago (pre-Lazy Daze). Didn't check out the campground at that time. Is it more than just paved parking like some of them are?

  2. It sorta felt like a parking lot but plenty of trees and green. The areas were separated by curbed areas. Not a bad spot with FHU
and plenty of things to see at the casino including the theater. The base price is $18. Internet is a separate charge.

  3. Reading this post, I feel like I'm going back in time. I, too, stayed at Sam's Town, I also got the stem kit and had it installed on my tires, and I also got tired of not having any (or enough) radio stations and broke down and got a Sirius XM radio. I guess those are just things that make RVing better. I LOVE both the tire stems and the Sirius radio. You'll be glad you spent the $$. :)

  4. Great blog. Especially being a want-a-be Lazy Daze. Something you may want to think about is a lifetime subscription on the XM. I have had mine several years, back when it ws $250.00. Do not know the cost today. Watercolors, channel#66 is my favorite.
    Your pictures are great.
