Above are continued pics of the Museum of the Cherokee Indian.
Through out the town there are bears that are painted. The Oconaluftee River runs through the town. You can go down to the water and spend time in it.
Here is my site and a view from the campground.
At the Oconaluftee Indian Village its like an outdoor living museum. The guide takes you all around to different stations that show you how things were done years ago.
They showed weaving, pottery, and baskets.
There were different examples of houses that changed through the years.
Second pic tells of the traders.
Took a walk in the Herb Garden and Nature Trail.
Here is an old cabin in the garden area.
On Sunday a few things are closed so went over to Harrah's Cherokee Casino Enjoyed looking around. I had a good meal at Brio Tuscan Grille Had a great meal. It was raining outside at the time.
The first pic is from the second floor and what you are seeing from closeup to where you see the trees
is ground cover that is covering a rooftop. You can see the rooftop in the second pic. Water runs under
the ground cover and then falls down a level to the bottom as a waterfall.
